The Hypatia Trust is run by an exceptionally small team and we rely on our fabulous volunteers to keep our events and the bookshop running.
If you’re based in Penzance/surrounding areas, are time-flexible and like the idea of being part of the warm ambience of Hypatia, pop by for a friendly chat.
You won't need to commit specific hours, a few hours of support as needed is appreciated (see below). In return there are wonderful connections to be made and inspiring 'herstories' to hear.

Women In Word Bookshop; Wed-Fri availability (11-3pm), and Saturday availability (12-3pm).

Do you have a passion for Women’s Herstories?
Women in Cornwall is an archive documenting the lives and achievements of women in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Women have made significant contributions to this region and we aim to foreground their stories, moving women from the margins of history to the centre. A new function of the archive allows anyone to suggest an entry to our growing archive of over 600 remarkable women.
