Join us for an informal networking morning; a chance to meet other women working in the Heritage and Arts sectors in Cornwall and see our space on Chapel Street.

Poetry & Conversation: Karen Smith & Penelope Shuttle
Our Women in Word Writer in Residence is Karen Smith, writer and librarian at National Poetry Library. Karen is joined by fellow poet Penelope Shuttle for an in-conversation plus Q&A along with the two poets readings from their work. Book now to be sure of a seat.

Literary Costume Ball at The Union ballroom
Our Women in Word festival ends with a fun celebration! Dress up as your favourite fictional character, or even pay homage to an entire genre. Whether you are Flaubert's parrot or The Girl on the Train it's all good – and don't worry.. if your costume is going for real life realness you can still come party.
Music from Nina the Salsa Queen. Vintage vinyl from Brazil, Cuba and the strange mysterious land of the Past… hot steps, cool vibes and a special women's voices selection for the night!
