To mark International Women’s Day 2020 we are commissioning EIGHT NEW SHORT FILMS to celebrate contemporary women in Cornwall’s musical life!
We're looking for ideas that tell diverse stories of modern women involved in any genre of music in Cornwall, from performers and composers to teachers, instrument makers, music therapists or simply women for whom music has played a significant role in their daily life.
£1,000 will be awarded to produce each successful commission, and we are welcoming applications for non-fiction ideas between 5-7 minutes in length.
The films will form part of ‘Women of Cornish Music: Past & Present’, a project supported by the NLHF, Screen Cornwall, the Cornwall Heritage Trust and FEAST to uncover and highlight Cornwall’s musical heritage through a female lens.
THANK YOU FOR APPLYING!
The deadline has now passed and we will be selecting and announcing our commissioned filmmakers later this month. Keep an eye on our social media for updates!
