2023 sees Dreadnought South West celebrate its 10 year anniversary since their first project; Oxygen, that told the story of the Great 1913 Women’s Suffrage Pilgrimage from Land’s End to London. With support and collaboration from The Hypatia Trust this story took flight, reached and lit the imaginations of hundreds of people. Oxygen; a Dreadnought singing workshop with Claire Ingleheart
Wednesday 21st June, midday to 2.30pm Led by Choir Leader and Composer Claire Ingleheart (Ingleheart Singers, Suitcase Singers & Femmes De La Mer), at this free singing workshop you will learn the song Oxygen. The title song from Dreadnought South West’s play produced in 2013, marking the centenary of the Great 1913 Women’s Suffrage Pilgrimage. Then take to the streets to share this song and celebrate the history of these remarkable women. Refreshments will be provided for workshop and pop-up choir participants. Free event.
